Movie production fascinates me, so I was very excited when I got the chance to be on set for some new Fisher's TV ads.
Last Thursday I went to my first TV ad shoot. I had been on film sets once or twice for small productions in college, but this was the real deal. We filmed the ads in the Channel 6 studio, and it was interesting to see the way the studio was set up, how all of the lighting was positioned, and what a film shoot in a TV studio looked like from behind the camera. We were shooting against a green screen, and I am really excited to see what the final, edited versions of the ads look like.
We shot several different ads during our time in the studio. Each ad was one take, so if there were any mistakes we had to start from the beginning again.
Gary, our Chairman, was such a trooper, though- doing a take, asking for improvements, then re-doing the take with the improvements, and asking for more improvements. It was an educational and fun morning for me, but at the end of it all I felt ready for a nap!
We don’t have a specific date the ads will air yet, but it should be soon. Keep checking back for a link to the ads when they are finished, and to find out why one of the ads features a giant orange tape measure!
